Email hosting FAQs
Do I need a domain name?
Yes. Your mailboxes use your own domain, such as you@yourname.com. You can register one with us or use a domain you already own.
My website is hosted somewhere else. Can I still use this?
Yes. Only the mail records of your domain, called MX records, point to us. Your website stays where it is and is not affected.
Can I read my mail on my phone and in Outlook?
Yes. The mailboxes work with Outlook, Apple Mail, Gmail and the mail app on a phone, as well as in a web browser through webmail.
Is the storage for each mailbox?
No. The storage of a plan is shared by all of its mailboxes. You decide how much each mailbox may use.
Can I send newsletters or bulk email?
No. The plans are for ordinary business mail. Sending is limited to 500 messages a day on Mail 5, 2,000 on Mail 20 and 5,000 on Mail 50, and bulk or marketing mail belongs with a dedicated email service.
Should I choose email hosting or Web Hosting?
Choose email hosting if you only need mailboxes, for example because your website is on a site builder or with another host. Choose Web Hosting if you want the website and the mailboxes in one place.
